People are often interested in hearing about any way to free up space in a tiny cramped bathroom. Some bathrooms are so cramped for space that you even find it a bit difficult to reach anything in the room without bumping your arm or elbow against a counter or the wall for that matter.
Think about checking into wall hung toilets which really are mounted on the wall in comparison to the traditional floor mounted toilets that most people have used in the past. Kind of an interesting idea; why not free up some floor space for other decorative ideas and remodel with a wall unit to remove the tight cramped condition of a typical bathroom.
A floor mounted toilet will take up far more space than a wall hung toilet does and you can easily clean the floor under the wall unit. Where as the traditional toilet has always been a pain to try and clean around the mounting and behind the unit next to the wall. The seat size is the same as a conventional toilet so there is no difference in that respect. The wall mounted unit does not stick out near as far from the wall as a regular toilet and this will same you some space.
If remodeling the bathroom is in the picture it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take a few measurements and do some price comparison for wall mounted units. They definitely do cost a lot more than a traditional toilet but the modern look and space saving features make it some worth checking into.
A really nice feature of wall hung toilets is that they can be set up according to the height that you want; this is really great for tall or short people to find just the right comfort level. Because the height can be adjusted to what ever level is necessary it can be made more functional for handicapped people or the elderly.
